Meghan and Lane dreamed of a classic small-town chapel wedding in the heart of Central Texas, and the historicRuffini Chapel in San Angelo was the perfect choice for their intimate ceremony. Known for its charm and history, the chapel set the stage for a timeless celebration that felt both simple and meaningful.
This couple reached out to me because they wanted their day captured entirely on film for their wedding photography. When they shared that nearly every photo would be shot on film, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Film offers the nostalgic, romantic aesthetic they were drawn to, while preserving their wedding day with the natural, imperfect beauty that only film can create.
After their heartfelt chapel ceremony, we headed to their family ranch in San Angelo to capture their classic Texas wedding portraits. Against the backdrop of rolling hills in late August, the warm golden light paired with the sentimental history of their ranch made the experience unforgettable. Despite the Texas heat, the evening was filled with laughter, intimacy, and authentic moments.
For me, the most meaningful part of being a film wedding photographer is the trust my couples place in me to preserve their milestones. Meghan and Lane’s San Angelo wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love shooting on film—because it captures not just images, but the feeling of the day itself.
